Where do you live? Los Angeles
What made you want to start your blog? Probably being voted as “Best Dressed” in high school. Haha. But in all seriousness, I was always told I had great style and have always loved to shop (I mean, who doesn’t?) and sort of took that and just went for it. If I can inspire others by doing the things I love, then why not? Plus it’s a great way to show off some of my favorite looks that not everyone gets a chance to see
How would you define your style? I’ve always had a hard time answering that question. Growing up, I had a uniform at school, or a list of what I could wear and what I couldn’t. It mostly involved slacks and collared shirts, so I think that’s where the prep side of me comes from. On the other hand, living in Los Angeles, there are really no bounds or limits with what you can wear so I’m more willing to test the waters. I’m inspired by street style around the world, but still love clean lines and structure. So whenever someone comes up with a word to define that, that would be it!
Who is your style icon? Depends on the day. I sometimes think my style is unisex, meaning I wear pieces that both men and women can wear. So for male icons… Don’t judge me, but, I’m a huge Justin Bieber fan and I think he really likes to test the boundaries of style and I love that. I also love Colton Haynes’ style as well as Kanye West’s. For women, I’m obsessed with Kendall Jenner and Gigi Hadid’s style and often try to recreate the male version of their looks. And of course Aimee Song.
What’s the one wardrobe essential you can’t live without? Distressed denim, 100%! Oh, and sick sunnies.
Where do you like to shop? In general, I love shopping at Rag & Bone and can never leave without buying at least one thing. For more affordable and trendier pieces, I’ll shop at Topman, ASOS, and occasionally Revolve Clothing. When I want to splurge I head to Barneys and shop my little heart out. I also love Iro and the occasional J.Crew.
What is one item in your closet you are currently obsessing over? I got this bomber from Rag & Bone last season and have only gotten to wear it a few times since it’s been so hot lately. So I can’t wait to get some use out of it when it cools down!
When you can’t think of anything to wear, what’s your go-to outfit? My ripped Joe’s jeans, a black tee, either my Saint Laurent boots or my Chanel espadrilles, and a light jacket I’m obsessed with at that moment in time.
What are some of your favorite brands or designers? I want to be best friends with Hedi Slimane of Saint Laurent, for obvious reasons. I love Olivier Rousteing of Balmain, Alexander Wang, and Carolina Herrera for women. Brands-wise, I would say Rag & Bone, Public School NYC, Iro, Hermès, and Chanel.
What do you do when you aren’t blogging? I work full time for an interior designer and love it. I also can usually be found with my friends after work and on weekends either grabbing dinner, a drink or three, or dancing the night away. My go-to is grabbing a latte at Alfred Coffee on Melrose and shopping all day.
Favorite accessory? Either my Goyard wallet or Dior sunglasses!
Favorite cologne? Le Labo’s Santal 33.
Favorite city? Either New York or Paris, cliche I know!
Favorite food? Sushi!!
What is your favorite quote? “Do not chase people. Be you and do your own thing and work hard. The right people who belong in your life will come to you, and stay.”
