*cue Taylor Swift singing the first song off of 1989* It's been about two weeks since I was in New York and boy did I have a great time! As I'm sure most of you saw on my Instagram, I shot with a photographer while in the city since I've always wanted shots of me in the city. I was there for work but was lucky enough to get to the city a few days early to meet up with friends and shop (duh). I hit up all of my favorite spots and even some new ones.
When it came time to decide on shoot locations, the photographer, Josh, mentioned this art installation near the Flatiron Building, so we headed there first. It was a lot smaller than we both had imagined so I had to sort of squeeze myself in. Madison Square Park was right there so we took a stroll in the park and shot there as well. I brought along my LV duffel to carry all the clothes I was going to wear for the shoot, but decided it would be a great accessory to have for this look.
I'm really digging this whole turtleneck trend. I used to rock them back in high school when I would borrow my dad's vintage ones. My desire to wear them was really instigated by Drake's Hotline Bling video, which I'm sure the same goes for a lot of you. My favorite way to pair it is with a leather jacket since it reads more edgy than, what I like to say, "Steve Jobs chic."
I paired it with my brand spankin' new Saint Laurent French boots which I'm ABSOLUTELY obsessed with. I cannot stop wearing them! I got them just in time for my trip but was debating taking them with me or not, and clearly you can tell what I decided to do. I knew they might get beat up walking around in them in the city but it was a risk I was willing to take. My feet were definitely killing me at one point during the trip though...
