Layers. One of my favorite words. There's nothing I love more than layering, although it can be quite difficult when the weather usually calls for a cut off shirt and shorts. Regardless, once it cools down and when traveling for the holidays, layering is essential for not only warmth but for lack of lbs in your checked baggage.
I'm obsessed with this palm print bomber that I got from Zara and wear it tons. Zara is always a hit or miss, but this was def a hit. The material is great since it's not super padded and it's almost like a neoprene material. I styled it with a collarless (another wardrobe staple) striped shirt from J.Crew and only buttoned the top few buttons. You'll start seeing this a lot, especially with double zipper jackets that are making a comeback, and if you don't believe me, check out this article by GQ. Not sure what draws me to this style, but something sure does.
As mentioned in a previous post, I'm starting to become a big fan of the longline tees. These are t-shirts that may look like tall tees from the early 2000s, but instead of being extra baggy all over, it's fitted on top and just longer on the bottom. You can find them almost everywhere now, and almost every designer has a style. If interested, look into Fear of God, Alexander Wang, and ATM for pricier options, but for more affordable, Topman & H&M are your go-to! I love the double t-shirt look, especially when there is a contrast with the colors. Another great layering style to try this season!
All in all, this look is just another reason why I love layering. Play around with different lengths and textures, and it's a good thing fashion nowadays knows no bounds. Keep it tonal or be bold by pairing patterns with neutrals, but just be sure to have some fun with it. Fashion is all about self-expression so you do you boo boo.
