Well, it's here. The 2015 Coachella lineup of course! Considering everybody in the English-speaking world has been talking about it on every social media outlet, I'm sure this is not coming as a shock to you. But if you are just now finding out, I suggest getting your shit together and look below.
Just like clockwork, once the lineup comes out, people start to scrounge up any loose change they have to afford the weekend pass (no, I don't think those quarters you're finding in your couch will help). But if you were smart, like I was, you got your pass when it was on presale and the only thing you're focusing on is 1. How the hell you're gonna see every act considering there will FOR SURE be complications and 2. What the f*ck you're gonna wear.
If you were thinking I was gonna help you out in that department, guess again. It's a little too early for that don't you think? Well naturally I may or may not start perusing through some online stores and maybe a few shops here in LA to find some things to wear (what? I like to plan ahead), but I don't even know what I'm wearing tomorrow, let alone what I'm wearing 3 months from now. So instead, I decided I would do a little "Festival Flashback" and show what I wore each day back in 2014 since my blogging game was not on point back then (lol as if it is right now). Maybe this can help you (and me) get the ideas brewing for 2015.
I loved this outfit. I didn't want to get too crazy with the look since it's only Day 1, but I definitely wanted to wear something a little bold without losing comfort. My favorite part of the look was my "Partier" tank by UNIF. Also, the RVCA backpack proved to be very very necessary.
Tank: UNIF, Shorts: Lifetime, Shoes: Converse, Backpack: RVCA, Sunglasses: Ray-Ban, Bracelets: Assorted
This was my Pharrell-inspired look. I most definitely bought the hat specifically for Coachella (basic, I know) but I loved it. This was the day of the dust storm so by the end my hat was covered in dirt, yet I'm still somewhat surprised it didn't fly away. I got the tank, originally a t-shirt, from my internship at the time and wanted to cut it up since there is no way in hell I would wear a t-shirt in 100 degree weather. As I always say, Coachella is heaven on Earth, but hotter than hell.
Tank: District Clothing (Cut it myself), Shorts: Topman, Hat: Obey, Shoes: I forget what I was wearing that day lol, Watch: Emporio Armani
This was my "DGAF it's way too f*cking hot to care" look. Levi shorts were a cop-out on my part, but whateva, I love em. The tank I just got online and thought it worked. I paired it with my Flat-Top Boyfriend Ray-Bans and called it a day. By the end of the festival, not only were my chucks dirty AF, but my RVCA backpack was ripped and torn. Oh well. Also featured is my very basic and very common "hands in the air/airing out the armpits cuz I was sweaty" pose since idk what else to do with myself.
Tank: ASOS, Shorts: Vintage Levi's from Urban Outfitters, Shorts: Converse, Not pictured: Flannel & Bindi
This concludes my "Festival Flashback" since you wanna know who's SO FREAKING EXCITED FOR COACHELLA???!??! This kid! I absolutely cannot wait to be dying in the desert heat with nothing but a frozen lemonade keeping me cool. Also somehow spending all the money I brought (aka spending too much on watermelons and beer). Did I mention the music? Cuz oh yeah, there's that too! Once festival times draws closer, that's when you can expect a *new* outfit post and possibly a "How To Survive Coachella" guide. The things you learn at Coachella.... probably more than the things I learned in college. Oh well. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
