I was recently approached by fellow friend and current SWELL Ambassador, Caroline Carlson, who asked me if I would like to write about the company on my blog, and obviously I couldn't refuse! I have been a huge fan of SWELL for as long as I can remember. I remember shopping on the site throughout high school, as well as in college whenever I needed a new pair of boardshorts. So you can only imagine my reaction when Caroline asked me if I wanted to do this.
I was gifted two pieces, one of them being the sweatshirt featured in this post. It is the Imperial Motion Name Plate Crew Fleece, which can be found here. It is unbelievably comfortable and soft and fits exactly like I wanted it to; a little baggy, while still keeping its form. I don't own anything else that is by Imperial, but I'm definitely impressed. I'm obsessed with the graphic on it and as seen in current trends, graphic sweatshirts are a great addition to any outfit. There's something about wearing a sweatshirt over a button-up that just screams prep, which is exactly the look I was going for. That's my inner J.Crew coming out guys. It's a very clean-cut and proper look, but it's definitely off-set by the graphic on the fleece. I also wanted to play around with a variety of blues, it being one of my favorite colors. I wore my favorite ripped jeans along with my off-white Sperries, to go with the nautical-ity of the fleece. It was great going back out there and shooting again, especially when my schedule this semester has been non-stop. Nothing better than taking a study break doing a few of your favorite things (like taking pictures and getting Iced Chai Lattes from Milk + Honey).
I highly recommend for anyone that is looking to update their wardrobe with a few more casual pieces to definitely check out SWELL. My loyalty towards the company (and brand) has definitely increased and I hope the same for all of you.
