The one thing I've struggled with ever since I got my iPhone X is finding the right case. Either the cases are too bulky or too thin, or just way too expensive. I tried the official Apple ones, but those felt way too brick-like, and I have been using Peel as of late which is great, but really provides zero protection. I go out, so the last thing I want is to have a night where someone hits my phone out of my hands and it shatters. Literal worst nightmare. Well, after searching high and low, CaseApp reached out to me and wanted to send me cases and it was like they heard my prayers! ...Read More
Finally, the last of my summer travels up on the blog! The last stop on my little Eurotrip? Santorini of course! There was no better place or way to end our trip than in the most relaxing place on the planet. After spending the previous weeks in Spain, Italy, and Mykonos, it was time to finally wind down just in time for our return to the states. We had spent the entire month on foot, planes, boats, trains, etc... aka we were EXHAUSTED to say the least. We spent our entire time in Oía which is a village on Santorini, and the most famous of them on the island. This is basically the heart of Santorini and what everyone comes to the island for. ...Read More
I think it's appropriate to start off this post with a HAPPY NEW YEAR! Can you believe it's 2018? I sure can't, especially because now these travel guides are SO. LAST. YEAR. Like can I be any more late on these? But in my mind, I think it's getting to be that time where people are going to start planning their summer vacations and need these more than ever. I could also be delusional but whatever. So without further ado, I present to you my travel guide for MYKONOS.
Mykonos was a freaking dream. I have probably said that about each past location but honestly the moment we stepped off of our plane in the wee hours of the morning I knew we were in paradise. You could just feel it in the air. I have been wanting to go to Mykonos for years now, and it didn't help that every one and their mother was going there that summer or the summer before. My feed was consistently filled with photos of white buildings and I knew it was a must-see, must-do. Everyone was there for a good time and you could just feel the energy pumping through the island. Everyone we met was so friendly and willing to strike up a conversation. Summer in Mykonos was just an absolute dream come true. ...Read More
It's my absolute favorite time of year... the holidays! Whether you celebrate Christmas or Hanukkah or anything in between, 'tis the season to show your loved ones how much you care. While you can show your appreciation in other ways, gift giving is my favorite way to brighten up someone's holiday season. ...Read More
Ok so in order for you to truly get in the mood for this post, I need you to turn on some Dean Martin right now, specifically, 'On an Evening in Roma,' which you can find here. Now that you have the tunes going, we can begin. Either that or just turn on the Lizzie McGuire Movie soundtrack which is equally as satisfying.
Rome. What can I say about Rome? We were only there for a few days, and it wasn't nearly enough! When we were planning our trip, a ton of people said that Rome was a place we only needed to spend a few days at and some even said don't even bother. But I disagree because I think it is one of the first places you must go when you first visit Italy, which was the case for us. Although I can see why people would only say spend a few days (from a touristy point of view), I think Rome has so much to offer and there is a lot to do. While the "sights" may not be plentiful, I think the best part about traveling is fully experiencing and submerging yourself into the culture and do as the Romans do. So don't listen to the haters and spend a few days in Rome if you are planning your first trip to Italy. ...Read More
